3-Step Application Process
Places are offered through a short application process so I can make sure the programme is the right fit for your child before they join.
Because this is a small-group programme, all students need to be working at a similar capacity and pace. This helps keep the sessions focused, supportive and appropriately challenging for everyone in the group.
Step 1:
Application form
Complete a short parent application form with details about your child’s year group, exam board, current confidence level, target grade and preferred programme option: Essential or Premium.
Step 2:
Diagnostic test
You will be sent a short diagnostic Chemistry task for your child to complete, so I can understand their current level, topic gaps and exam technique needs.
This helps me see how they approach questions and whether the programme is likely to support them effectively.
Step 3:
Attend a taster class
If the programme looks like a good fit, your child will be invited to attend a trial class.
This gives them a chance to experience the teaching style, group format and level of support before a September place is confirmed.
After the Application Process
Once the form, diagnostic test and taster class have been completed, suitable students will be offered a place in the relevant Year 12 or Year 13 cohort. Parents can then confirm whether they would like the Essential group-only option or the Premium hybrid option before the programme begins w/c 14th September.
September fees will be adjusted to reflect the mid-month start. From October, the standard monthly programme fee applies.

Ope is always very patient and very good at explaining topics I find confusing. My sessions with her have helped me improve my exam technique so much and the chemistry papers now don't seem as daunting. Overall, I would recommend Ope to any fellow A-Level students as I'm now going into the exam season with much more confidence!

People often ask
Have a question about the Chemistry programme? Check out our frequently asked questions below for answers to common enquiries.
In summary, students receive:
A 90-minute small group session each week: each session consists of a teaching segment, and an exam paper deep dive segment (fully hands-on with immediate feedback)
Regular assignments, usually exam question practice, to reinforce learning outside of sessions
Premium tier also includes two 60-minute one-to-one session every month to focus on individual weaknesses, ask questions and monitor progress, and access to a comprehensive library of OCR-style resources.
The programme is designed specifically for OCR A-Level Chemistry and combines structured small group teaching with regular individual support.
This is not a large, drop-in revision class or a low-cost homework club. By combining group sessions with 1:1 help, students get the best of both worlds.
Every element of the programme has exam technique at its core. Every session incorporates weekly teaching, regular assignments and OCR-focused exam question deep-dives. Fortnightly individual support means that your child can get their specific needs addressed privately and gaps are spotted quickly. The application process also helps ensure students are placed into a carefully selected small-group environment, so the support remains focused and high quality.
The programme is designed for high-achieving students that want to get an A or A* grade. Parents also receive regular feedback. Sessions are recorded for catch-up, playback and to consolidate revision between sessions.
The application process helps ensure the programme is suitable for your child before they join.
Rather than simply filling up groups as fast as possible, by having an application process, I can group together students that have similar needs and targets and are likely to work at a similar capacity and pace.
The application form, diagnostic test and trial class help me understand your child’s current confidence, topic knowledge and exam technique, so I can support them in the best way.
It also helps protect the quality of the group experience for every student.
The programme is capped at just 6 students and is designed to give students the structure and momentum of regular group sessions while still keeping individual support built in. The application process ensures that only students working at a similar pace and towards a similar goal are grouped together.
The biweekly one-to-one sessions allow us to address your child’s specific gaps, review progress and work on areas where they need more individual guidance.
If the current cohort time does not work for your child, you can still register interest and select the option to be notified if another cohort opens. The first September cohorts will run at the scheduled times, but additional cohorts may be released if there is enough demand.
If your child misses a group session, they will still be able to access the session recording where available, along with any resources or follow-up work shared with the group.
Because the group sessions are fixed cohort sessions, missed group sessions are not rescheduled individually. The fortnightly 1:1 support can be used to clarify specific questions or review areas where your child needs extra help.
Yes, if there is a suitable place available and your child is ready to join the current cohort. If your child joins part-way through a month, the first month’s fee will be adjusted to reflect the remaining sessions for that month. From the following month, the usual monthly programme fee will apply.
The Chemistry programme costs £325 per month. If your child joins mid-month, the cost is pro-rated.
Billed monthly.
Yes. There is a minimum 1-month commitment when joining the programme.
During the application process, suitable students may be invited to attend a trial class before joining. This is the point at which you can decide whether the programme feels like the right fit before committing.
Once your child joins the programme, the 1-month minimum commitment applies. This gives students enough time to settle into the rhythm of the sessions and allows us to begin identifying strengths, weaknesses and next steps properly.
I run a Parent Open Evening so parents can meet me, understand how the programme works, my approach to exam technique, and ask any questions before deciding whether it is the right fit for their child. If you are unsure, then the best next step is to come along to the Parent Open Evening with your questions.
Where suitable, I may also arrange a short consultation before enrolment to make sure the programme is appropriate for your child.
Apply to Start in September
Applications are now open for the September 2026 Year 12 and Year 13 cohorts. Places are limited to 6 students per group so that each student can receive focused support and contribute confidently.
